Privacy Policy
Wrenry LLC, doing business as STORYBORED ("STORYBORED," "we," "us," or "our"), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you visit our website and purchase our products. For the purposes of applicable data-protection law, Wrenry LLC is the data controller of personal information collected through storybored.io and related services.
What Data We Collect
Analytics Data (with your consent)
When you accept cookies, we collect usage data including: pages visited, time spent on pages, referral sources, device type, and browser information, through PostHog and Google Analytics. If you don’t accept, PostHog counts visits without setting cookies or storing an identifier in your browser, and Google Analytics does not load. This helps us understand how visitors use our site and improve your experience.
Referral Data (with your consent)
We run an affiliate program through Lemon Squeezy: people who share a link to our products earn a commission when it leads to a sale. When you accept cookies and arrive through such a link, a Lemon Squeezy script records the referral. It sends Lemon Squeezy the affiliate’s code and an identifier derived from your browser, and sets a cookie (ls_aff_ref) for 30 days so the referral is credited if you buy. If you choose essential cookies only, the script does not load, and the affiliate’s code is passed to checkout only if you buy during the same visit.
Purchase Information
When you make a purchase, our payment processor (Lemon Squeezy) collects your name, email address, and payment information. We receive your email address and purchase details to provide you with product licenses and support. We keep a record of each order (your email address, the product, the order number and the amount) and of your installer downloads in PostHog, so we can find your purchase when you ask for help. This is part of providing what you bought, so it does not depend on your cookie choice. Only if you accept cookies do we also connect your visits to the site with your purchase. Your license key is never stored in analytics.
Functional Data
We store minimal functional data in your browser (such as UI preferences) to improve your experience. This data is not shared with third parties.
Why We Collect This Data
- To process and fulfill your orders
- To provide product licenses and customer support
- To understand how visitors use our website (with consent)
- To measure whether our ads on Google and Meta lead to visits and sales (with consent)
- To improve our products and services
- To communicate important updates about your purchases
Third-Party Services
PostHog (Analytics)
We use PostHog for website analytics. With your consent it uses cookies to recognise your browser between visits; without it, it counts visits without cookies. We also keep our order records there (see Purchase Information). Their privacy policy can be found at posthog.com/privacy.
Google Analytics and Google Ads
If you accept cookies, we load Google Analytics on this site to measure visits, product views and checkouts, and to tell Google Ads which ads led to a sale. It does not load if you choose essential cookies only. Our checkout (run by Lemon Squeezy) reports completed purchases to Google Analytics. Google’s privacy policy can be found at policies.google.com/privacy.
Meta Pixel
If you accept cookies, we load Meta’s pixel to measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram and to show them to people who have visited this site. It does not load if you choose essential cookies only. Our checkout (run by Lemon Squeezy) reports completed purchases to Meta. Meta’s privacy policy can be found at facebook.com/privacy/policy.
Lemon Squeezy (Payments)
We use Lemon Squeezy to process payments and to run our affiliate program. When you make a purchase, your payment information is handled directly by Lemon Squeezy. Their privacy policy can be found at lemonsqueezy.com/privacy.
Vercel (Hosting)
Our website is hosted on Vercel. Their privacy policy can be found at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
